Nyder I ferien i alle de fire verdenshjørner? Hvis nogle af jer skulle slå et smut forbi Paris i løbet af sommeren, så kan jeg kun anbefale jer at tage ind og se “Little Black Dress”- udstillingen på Mona Bismarck American Center for Art & Culture på avenue de New York. Udstillingen løber til og med d. 22. september 2013. Udstillingen går igennem den lille sorte kjoles historie gennem tiden med et udvalg af 50 ikoniske kjoler fra nogle af de største designere, fra Chanel til Prada. Udstillingen byder også på kjoler, som forskellige kendisser er hoppet i, herunder en Prabal Gurung kjole båret af Sarah Jessica Parker og en Stella McCartney kjole båret af Rihanna. Kuratoren for udstillingen er selveste modeikonet, André Leon Talley, som i øvrigt var Anna Wintours højre hånd inden han stoppede italian glamour som redaktør på Vogue. Ifølge André er “Little Black Dress” skabt til at præsentere forskellige fortolkninger af den lille sorte kjole gennem de sidste to århundreder. Summa summarum, en vaskeægte fashionista-udstilling, som jeg absolut ikke ville gå glip af hvis jeg skulle til Paris i løbet af de næste par måneder. En perfekt anledning til både at kigge på tøj OG være kulturel. To fluer med et smæk. Bum. Og husk nu, at mode – er også – kultur.

According to André “Little Black Dress” was created to present various interpretations of the little black dress over the last two centuries. In short, a true fashionista exhibition, which I definitely would not miss if I was going to Paris in the next few months.
