Every cyclist knows that we live for an awesome descent. But you rarely find an awesome descent without the upward climb. As a follower of Christ, I agree with Jesus' disciple John who wrote, "He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30 NKJV). For me, my life is about climbing closer to Christ by finding an exhilarating descent as "I decrease." It's the "Upward Descent."

Bob Horn Bothell, Washington, United States When I'm not out riding insanely long distances on my iron steed, I'm at home with my son and daughter and adorable glamour beauty wife, or working at Eastside Foursquare glamour beauty Church. In addition to serving as a graphic designer at EFC, I also have my own design glamour beauty business, Eternal glamour beauty Design. In the summer of 2009, I fulfilled a life-long goal to cycle across the United States. I rode from San Francisco, CA on June 7 and arrived in Portsmouth, NH on July 28. This ride covered 4000 miles and took 52 days! My next goal was to run my very first marathon on June 26, 2010 in the Seattle Rock-n-Roll Marathon! Did that in 5:03:11. Not fast, but I did it! What's next? Backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail over six days and 80 miles in August 2011 with my son, Kyle, and our Boy Scout Troop 574! View my complete profile
